Fake Paramedic Jailed: Jamie Kadolski's 12-Year Sentence

tinder May 10, 2025

Jamie Kadolski, a 24-year-old man from Norwich, has been sentenced to 12 years in jail for posing as a paramedic and committing multiple sexual offences. Kadolski previously worked as a call handler for the East of England Ambulance Service. However, he falsely represented himself as a paramedic to three women he met through the Tinder dating app, deceiving them with stickers on his work ID to conceal his true position.

Justice Delivered at Norwich Crown Court

In the Norwich Crown Court, Judge Anthony Bate delivered the verdict after Kadolski was found guilty of three counts of rape and six additional sexual offences. Kadolski’s abuse of healthcare professional imagery, such as uniforms and identity cards, allowed him to present a misleading persona that led his victims to believe they were safe and secure in his presence.

According to London Evening Standard, Kadolski’s crimes spanned from August 2022 to September 2023, leaving a trail of distress for the victims who were betrayed by his deceit.

Victim Impact Statements Reveal Deep Trauma

The sentencing hearing included powerful victim impact statements read by the three women. One woman, who suffered rape by Kadolski, expressed how her life is now overshadowed by fear and trauma. She spoke of haunting nightmares and the distress ambulance sightings cause her. Another woman admitted to attempting suicide and described her life now as a “shadow” of what it once was. The third victim shared that the memories of Kadolski’s actions continue to haunt her.

Consequences Beyond the Prison Sentence

In addition to his 12-year sentence, accompanied by a three-year extended license, Kadolski faces an indefinite Sexual Harm Prevention Order. The judge ordered that all of Kadolski’s seized uniforms, identity cards, and devices remain confiscated permanently, ensuring he cannot misuse them again.

Michael Cohen, representing Kadolski, indicated that there are intentions to appeal against the convictions, despite Kadolski having no past criminal records relevant to this case. Kadolski displayed no visible emotion as he was escorted from the courtroom.

The Community’s Reaction and Wider Implications

The trial and sentencing have sparked significant reactions within the community, bringing to light the vulnerabilities associated with online dating and the importance of verifying the identities of those posing as professionals. The case highlights the critical need for vigilance and support systems for victims of deception and sexual crimes.

As we reflect on this case, it serves as a sobering reminder of the hidden dangers within our community and the essential role of justice in protecting the vulnerable. The brave testimonies of the women involved underscore the enduring strength required to seek justice in such harrowing circumstances.
